My name is Shane Perez and I was born and raised in Miami, FL. I lived in Miami until September of 2006 when I moved to the Bronx, NY. My interest in photography began sometime around 1999 when I decided that I wanted to document some of the abandoned spaces I had been visiting and exploring. I began learning more about photography in order to improve my photos of those spaces and as I improved I eventually began to take interest in other subjects. The photos on this site are the result of me exploring my curiosity and fascination with the world and are mostly a self indulgent exercise. I'm not terribly interested in doing commissioned work, simple portraits, or most other commercial photography unless it is something particularly out of the ordinary or unique.
